September 21, 2010 - Senator Erickson spoke at a Capitol rally
in support of his legislation to expand the Local Small Games of Chance Act to
include licensed establishments like local bars and taverns and private clubs. |
At the Annenberg Conference Center at Lankenau Hospital, (left to right) Senator Edwin "Ted" Erickson; Janet Sawicki, Ph.D.,
Lankenau researcher and grant-winner; and Pat Halpin-Murphy, president and
founder of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, presenting a $50,000 check to Dr.
Sawicki for her cervical cancer research. Funds were generated by voluntary
donations to the PA Income Tax Check-Off for Breast and Cervical Cancer
Research.

June 16, 2010 - Speaking at the “Building One Pennsylvania”
Statewide Summit on Economic Growth, Regional Opportunity and Sustainability,
held in Lancaster, PA. Promoting partnerships across municipal boundaries to
address infrastructure, the Summit was attended by 600 people.

May 24, 2010 - Senator Erickson welcomed Cardinal O'Hara High
School's Championship Ice Hockey Team to the Senate Chamber.

Senator Erickson was presented with the Legislator of the Year Award 2010 by
the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery in recognition
of his efforts to improve patient safety.
