RELEASE Erickson Named Senate Majority Policy Committee Chairman Harrisburg -- State Sen. Ted Erickson (R-26) has been named Chairman of the Senate Majority Policy Committee, a significant Senate leadership position. Senator Erickson was named to the post by Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati. The Senate Majority Policy Committee is responsible for gathering the information necessary to determine the impact of policy decisions on the citizens of Pennsylvania. "It is an honor to be selected to lead the Senate Majority Policy Committee," said Erickson. "Pennsylvania is a big, diverse commonwealth, and the ramifications of major legislation and policy must be carefully considered before being implemented. I look forward to the challenge, and the opportunity to serve in a leadership position." Senator Erickson joins the Senate leadership team of President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati, Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi, Appropriations Chairman Jake Corman, Majority Whip Jane Orie, Majority Caucus Chairman Mike Waugh, and Majority Caucus Secretary Bob Robbins. Senator Erickson also serves as Vice Chairman of the Senate Environmental Resources and Energy Committee, and as a member the Communications and Technology, Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, Law and Justice, and Public Health and Welfare committees.
