Majority Policy Committee to Hold Hearing on Making DEP Permitting Process More Timely, Efficient

Tuesday, March 16 at 9:30 a.m.

Harrisburg – The Senate Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Sen. Ted Erickson (R-26), will hold a public hearing next week on improving the Department of Environmental Protection’s permitting process.

The hearing will take place Tuesday, March 16 at 9:30 a.m. in Hearing Room 1 of the Capitol’s North Office Building.

The committee will investigate possible causes of delays in the DEP permitting process and discuss possible solutions, such as electronic permitting. The panel will take testimony from permit applicants, DEP officials and others.
